In the early 1960s, when Lebanon was often referred to as the "Switzerland of the Middle East" due to its beauty and appeal, Najib Salha, a well-respected businessman from Lebanon, envisioned a new place for people to gather and experience the warmth of Lebanese hospitality. He decided to create a stunning hotel in Beirut that would reflect the vibrant culture and spirit of the community. This project began in December 1961, with the goal of providing a welcoming space for both locals and visitors to connect and enjoy all that Lebanon has to offer.
